Coach Claire Currie

Claire is a Coach at Master Athletic Performance, a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and a future Doctor of Physical Therapy. She holds a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Purdue University, an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistance from South University, and is currently completing her DPT at UT Health. She is also Barbell Rehab Certified and passionate about both training and nutrition coaching.

Having spent years as an athlete guided by her own coaches, Claire experienced firsthand how powerful coaching can be. The confidence, identity, and self-belief she gained through their support—both in lifting and in nutrition—is what drives her to create that same transformation for others.

Her athletic background is wide-ranging over the last ten years: she founded the first female powerlifting team at her high school, qualified for the state championships for three years in a row, trained for and competed in numerous strongman competitions, completed a half-marathon, and recently won first place in the Novice Figure division at her debut bodybuilding show.

With clinical experience as a PTA working with barbell athletes, youth, and the geriatric population, Claire brings a movement-based, individualized, and lifestyle-centered approach to coaching.

Her mission is to help clients build self-confidence, develop sustainable lifelong habits, and step into a stronger, more empowered version of themselves—just as coaching helped her do.
